Potting and coating

Numerous electronic components, especially those of the automotive sector, have to withstand environmental influences. At the same time, they must work faultlessly. In this respect, we often recommend our customers to protect their PBC by means of a potting compound or coating in order to maintain the functionality of the components.

As we have integrated a coating and potting plant into our process flow, we can offer you the service of dip coating or potting besides the development and production of your components.

During the dip coating process, the manufactured components pass the coating plant and are dipped into a basin filled with protective lacquer. Both the entire PCB and a part of it can be coated. After an adequate drying time in the drying cabinet or at room temperature, the PCB is protected accordingly.

Alternatively, we offer a 1- or 2-component potting compound. There are two different production techniques: The potting compound is either directly applied on the PCB or the component is completely encapsulated in a housing.
