The turbidity sensor detects the contamination of the rinsing water by means of an infrared light barrier. The electronic evaluation system controls the light barrier and evaluates the received signal. Data is output via the standardised 0–10 V interface. In order to compensate tolerances caused by scattering and ageing of the sensors (light barriers), the electronic evaluation system can be calibrated automatically.
The roller bearings in washing and rinsing pumps of commercial belt washers are monitored by a vibration sensor. The engine condition is evaluated on the basis of a vibration measurement. The engine can then be classified as functional or non-functional.
