Nowadays, electronic components have to meet increasingly higher standards and requirements while the size of PCB and elements decreases. Therefore, the so-called SMD assembly is indispensable. Our company called a.p. microelectronic is a modern provider of EMS and was also one of the first companies in North Rhine-Westphalia to integrate the SMT technology (surface-mounted-technology) into the production process. Thanks to experience gained over more than 30 years, we are able to cover each sector of SMD assemblies. The capacity of our assembly machines is about 30,000 components per hour at a maximum component size of 0201. The production is always carried out according to ISO/ TS 16949:2009 and manufacturing standard IPC-A-610.
The SMD process flow of a.p. microelectronic
The assembly machines directly fix the components on the PCB which has been smeared with soldering paste. Then, the components are soldered by using the reflow method. By means of different visual inspections and an AOI test (automated optical inspection), we can ensure you that each component fulfils the high-quality requirements. According to a specific inspection strategy agreed with the customer, we optionally offer an in-circuit test or a function test. In case one component passes through further processes after a successful in-circuit test, additional tests are carried out in any case. In general these additional tests are called End-of-Line tests. These quality requirements comply with our standards and are agreed with our customer.
